A Mole Hill Or A Mountain?
People are always saying to not make a mountain out of a mole hill. But then we are faced with the decision of just when does a mole hill leave off and where does a mountain begin. Each person sees drastically different personal perspectives to size and volume depending if they are alone on top of the heap or crushed on the bottom of the pile. If we are to speak on behalf of a group then many other considerations must be contemplated because each ideology, theology or philosophy often creates fantastic illusions as to the prime importance of even the smallest hill of beans.
When driving out Peace Portal Way we are drastically transported to this new world of acquisition and growth. There once stood here a modest monument to the tourist industry that gave shelter to the moderate motorist with an eye for a reasonable room rate. The construction efforts for more elaborate accommodations are underway. Mounds of earth covered in black plastic mark the death of the departed in burial mounds. The birth of economic viability is expressed in pregnant swellings of idealism and the foundations now being poured for the soon to arrive new condominiums.
When we reach out and embrace our neighbors we see pictures that enhance everyday life in our own international community.
